The Database

A structured record of more than 900 men interned in Nazi concentration camps on charges relating to homosexuality: who they were, when and where they were arrested, the camps they were moved through, and their fates. Compiled from the Arolsen Archives and related collections, with a source reference for every man.

Opening autumn 2027. Access is expected to open to scholars and researchers first, with wider access to follow. Arrangements are still being finalised and will be announced here.

Around thirty recorded fields per man, from birth and hometown to arrest, camp transfers, and last known date
Fully searchable and filterable, with a link to the underlying archival record for each entry
Continuously extended as the doctoral research behind the Archive progresses
